thinking about brando’s comment, these jobs look good.
6-8 months at sea and trying to sell suckers… i mean customers photographs of their wild and crazy times. not a bad life, and it’s better to do it while young i suppose. anyone care to add any details?
A friend of ours who wanted to make it as a professional bass player worked on a cruise ship for a year, playing in their band. He said the good part was getting paid to do what he liked and getting experience playing every day. The bad news was being on a cruise ship. Not that it was bad, but that they didn’t really get to see the sights that much (since they were working) and that you live in a state of quasi homelessness, albeit in a pretty nice shelter.
I personally think it would be pretty cool and you would probably have decent opportunities to escape and shoot photos of your destinations.
aif- I had a friend who did that as well. He ran lights, etc, for the stage shows. He said it was good experience for future jobs, plus he got to travel.

that’s what i figured. thanks for the input, both. i think i might go ahead and apply :)
