Our starting point must always be a clear and strong commitment to the security of Israel…. we must help the Israelis identify and strengthen those partners who are truly committed to peace, while isolating those who seek conflict and instability….
We should expand our ground forces by adding 65,000 soldiers to the army and 27,000 marines….
I will not hesitate to use force, unilaterally if necessary, to protect the American people or our vital interests whenever we are attacked or imminently threatened….
We must also consider using military force in circumstances beyond self-defense in order to provide for the common security that underpins global stability….
…. we must develop a strong international coalition to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and eliminate North Korea’s nuclear weapons program…. In confronting these threats, I will not take the military option off the table.
…. we must strengthen our homeland security….. checking all passengers against a comprehensive watch list.
shorter Obama: Watch me prove Ralph Nader right after all!
Hillary Clinton has, as she has said, taken this incoming fire for 15 years or more. She’s had her patriotism questioned, her sexuality questioned, been accused of being a murderer, been accused of much more and yet she’s still the leading candidate for the Democratic nomination.
She’s tougher than boot leather while having a human side. Those are assets that our candidate needs. Hillary Clinton has developed thick skin and the ability to remain calm in campaign combat. Yet, she also knows how to listen to the American people.
If only presidentin’ were like campaingin’.
She’s a great campaigner. A leader? That I disagree with. No. Too few among us will follow her.
Too few.
It was a good day until I had to read Nader’s name here.
Dear Gawd.
Can we forget about him and what happened with Gore. Just don’t bring him up!!!
PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
agreed.
Gore was a centrist DLC guy, and ran his campaign as such. which is to say, rather poorly. And yet, he won the popular vote and was only ‘robbed’ in the E.C. rather than demand vociferously for reform of the (totally fucked up) electoral college system, it is seen as fit by a surprisingly large number of intelligent people that motherfuckin Nader took it away(a statment which by itself raises more questions than answers) rather than a fucked-up system.
