I have mixed feelings about the Kindle. I still think it would be hard to read for long stretches on a screen. But I also love the idea of being able to search books, look up words on the spot, and things like that. It would be a great tool for students.
yea brando! that’s exactly why i would want one, though i would never buy an ebook :)
They are totally overpriced.
Books are far better than a Bookcrackberry.
Not too positive abt. this, though it’s been getting rave reviews.
I would definitely be more interested if I was commuting to work again. It would do for my commute reading what the iPod did for commute listening.
I’m still waiting for a replicator.
I didn’t realize you could email your own documents to it. Any idea how well that works? I can come up with some work related justifications for that.
I am tempted when I travel with several books, plus a laptop, plus the 50 plugs I need to recharge everything. Cutting out a couple of heavy books could be worth it.
There’s a Kindle app for the iPhone. Don’t know if there’s any reduction in functionality, I would assume so. Smaller screen. But no hardware cost.
Ha, that is really funny.
