what’s with reporters quoting taxi drivers as if they are either a) a representative of a whole country or city or some other population group or b) experts in whatever the topic (usually security or economics) the reporter is attempting to report on?
it can’t just be laziness. that wouldn’t account for it’s prevalence from Baghdad to Beijing to Tegucigalpa. i posit that taxi drivers worldwide have come up with some sort of conspiracy where they will feed reporters what tehy want to hear.
